For non-participants in STM, they can also act on the attitude of stepping out in time.
The co-worker, Heidy, from Shepherd Community Church reported that the brothers and sisters had played their part in supporting the 10 STM warriors sent from the church this year. Besides money donation and kind words, some set up fundraising cookies sale; some took up homebound luggage-packing; some launched the second-handed collection; some remembered the warriors in open prayers in the fellowship while some opened a pop-up class on “how to deliver your testimony”, to name a few, to meet the need of the STM participants.
Quoted from the co-worker, “the STM participants got the full backup from the church while their stepping out re-ignited the whole church passion and fervent concern for missions and field workers, which have faded alongside the Covid.”
The take-away is simple: however tiny the support is, it makes impact; bear one another’s burden.
