In the end, Elsa made up her mind to lead a STM team when she noticed there was a lack of team leaders. "Seeing there is a need, I want to help out. I want God's name to be exalted. I don't care my personal STM experience anymore." It was the first time she takes the leadership role and now is going to lead a team to Kobe in Japan. In return, she has the promise from her hubby who will take good care of the family while she is absent!
Elsa said she is absolutely a doer and an action taker who loves to serve others, but God does want to develop her other side of potential. In the very first team leader training session, she was reminded that "hardship" is the key and it helps her to shun off from comfort zones such as receiving excessive hospitality or a time-out to shop or sightseeing during the trip. After all, teammates take their role to serve while as a team leader, Elsa said it could be rewarding if she can raise the bar of teammates' life quality at the end of the journey.
What drives her to take such a leadership role? The love indicated in Psalm 103:1-14 &22 pushes her forward.
