Julie was so thankful that her team grew stronger and better. She took it as a responsibility and a mission to train up a group of future team leaders. So she set up a core team with associate leader and sub-leaders. They met up for de-briefing a couple of times during the whole trip. It was an empowerment. In fact, the core team took the role to lead instead of a single team leader.
Julie also had a vision to the team. She wanted her teammates to be successful. She would boldly point out faults, weaknesses and things to be improved to her team. Surprisingly, her teammates were teachable and yearned for advice since no one ever did that to them. Therefore, Julie was sure that STM is not just reaching out to the unreached, but also building up the integrity of teammates in a secure and close relationship. In her mind, if a teammate scores a success, the whole team wins.
